“BIODYNAMICS” HAS TWO ROOTS in its name:
“Bio” indicates that we act according to the laws of life,
“Dynamics” emphasizes that the “forces” or dinamis from Greek (or organizing principles) which act in and on substances are also taken into account.
How did biodynamic agriculture come about?
IT WAS BORN IN 1924 AS AN ANSWER BY RUDOLF STEINER, founder of Anthroposophy, to a group of anthroposophers / farmers who asked him for practical indications to solve the new problems of degeneration of their crops caused by the use of chemical products in fertilizing and in the defense of plants, from new selection techniques and to intensive systems of agricultural production.
The indications given to us by R. Steiner are collected in the conference text “Spiritual scientific impulses for the progress of Agriculture” where a careful observation of the processes that take place in the soil, between the soil and the plant, and the environment plant is shown, going as far as the cosmos .
Biodynamic preparations, the heart of the biodynamic agricultural organism, are nothing more than substances from the plant and animal mineral world that the human kingdom prepares with conscience, art and science.
For nearly 100 years the movement of biodynamic agriculture – successfully spread all over the world – with its farmers and researchers has been working to ensure the recovery of the Earth, the renewal of agriculture and offer a food rich in nutritional strength to humans and animals . In Italy THE BIODYNAMIC MOVEMENT began to take root in the 30s of the past century and today Arcangelo Michele farm hosts several events and events organized by the Campania section for the Association for Italian biodynamic agriculture.
